I really looked forward to this yaoi being published in the U.S. I had heard a lot of good things about it. I enjoy Hinako Takanaga's works, some stories more than others, but she never disappoints when it comes to her art. And, I wasn't disappointed with this pervy story, either! It's classic yaoi - and Takanaga does it so well. It's absolute torture for sweet college student Morinaga to be in love with his mentor, hot headed and homophobic Tatsumi. Years of unrequited love has not diminished the love he feels for Tatsumi. Poor boy. Well, one day Morinaga's friend gives him an opportunity that can give him a chance at Tatsumi, at least between the sheets! He argues with his devil side - should he or shouldn't he...but suddenly one night, fate takes over.
For the story being totally off the wall and just plain silly, it works so well, it leaves you smiling and laughing and rooting for Morinaga. My heart even began to soften for Tatsumi.
This is the first volume. The ending leaves the reader wanting more, and that's always a good thing.

I already bought it!! I'm so glad it's available, again. Several great mangas which have been out of print are available or will be available soon.
I can't wait to read them!
Thanks,
Tracey D
I can't wait to read the next volume. I have a pile of yaoi to review and read - and Kizuna is coming out this month, too. It's been such a dry spell that it's wonderful to have some really good yaoi to read now.

Yeah, I can't wait for Kizuna, too. Now what is it about this "deluxe edition?" Are there several volumes in one?
We have Finders, Kizuna, Tyrant, now we need Embracing Love!
Tracey D
Oh, yes, I really love Kizuna and I'm thrilled they are publishing it again. I heard it will be in two volumes, splitting up the series in two parts. Even though I have Be Beautiful's versions, I will be buying this one as well. I totally agree with you - we NEED the rest of Embracing Love! NOW. :)
Thank you for replying; I appreciate it. Cool, Kizuna in two volumes; I like that. I'm running out of space!
Have you read Junjo Romantica? It's a great series and you will laugh and cry; it's so adorable. The anime is on my wishlist.

Junjo Romantica has some great moments in it! I'm waiting for the release Kiss Blue vol. 2. I'm not sure why I love this book so much, but I think it's the sparseness of the artwork and the words. And, I love unrequited love for a best friend, especially when they are older and in college.
I have Kiss Blue but haven't read it, yet. Yes, those kind of stories are sweet and make me cry.
My first yaoi manga was Gerard and Jacques by Fumi Yoshinaga. It was so adorable and sweet; I enjoy her works.
Do you buy your yaoi from one particular place? I like RightStuf.com (always having sales), Justmanga.com, Akadot.com, ebay, and the some the more popular online bookstores. It all depends how much money I have to spend, manga price, and how quickly I'll get it.
Gerald and Jacques was one of my first, too. My very first manga was JAZZ - which I know got mixed reviews, but it'll always have a special place in my heart! The second manga I read was YELLOW and I was blown away how good it was, and pretty much I was hooked. I tend to buy my manga at my local comic book store when I have coupon, Borders (when I have a coupon) or Amazon - but they tend to wait for release sometimes weeks after the books been out. I'll check out RightStuf, and I do get Akadot's newsletters.
Yay! I found you again (got a new computer and didn't get all my bookmarks transferred).
I just put up a review of Tyrant at my own blog, Hunter at Random. I didn't love it as much as you did, mostly because You Will Fall/Drown in Love blew me away and I compare everything to that. But my Reviews in Brief are back, every Sunday. (Last week I did a survey of Takanga, as it happens.)
At any rate, I'm so happy to get that bookmark back -- I'm always happy to see your take on things, and to get a heads up on new stuff.
Re: Junjo Romantica -- I've only got through Vol. 6 of the manga, but I have season 1 of the anime, which I love. Season 2 is due out in January.
Don't want to make this into a post, but I got Finder 1. Amane sometimes drives me crazy, but her drawing saves it.
And a side note re: stuff we're waiting for. I got tired of waiting for new titles by Youka Nitta in English, so I've been translating When a Man Loves a Man from the German edition. It's really good -- I was amazed to learn it was her first series.
Anyway, I'm really happy I found you again.
Hunter glad you found me! I have the first US Finder's published by Be Beautiful. Love her art but her stories sometimes leave me frustrated!
Have more yaoi to review, plenty to buy lately. Nice for a change!
